L'Orient d'Or: Reviews & Ratings
Good traditional Chinese cuisine place. Variety of dishes and affordable price of 30-35€ per person with drinks. Interesting duck dish with sesame on top and Beijing-style sauce and crepes
This is an incredible authentic Chinese restaurant, besides the food is so delicious, the service is also excellent, we felt really well welcomed and served. They took care of our 10 month baby. Their are specialized in Hunan cuisine, the hometown of Mao, spicy and hot, but even the non-hot dishes are so good. By the way the price is really reasonable for this excellent level of quality. You must have a try and you will not regret!
I've always loved Hunan food. It's Chinese but so much lighter and finer. The seasoning is delicate but so flavorful. The plates are refined and beautiful to see as well as to taste. The service is impeccable. The restaurant itself is very nice and cosy. You can come as a group or enjoy an intimate lunch/dinner.

What struck me most was the remarkable freshness of the ingredients and the intricate layering of flavors—from the delicate yet powerful seasoning characteristic of Hunan food to the beautifully presented plates that showcase a refined culinary artistry. Their signature duck dish, crowned with toasted sesame seeds and served with a rich Beijing-style sauce and thin crepes, is a delightful highlight—its smoky, savory notes perfectly complement the crispness of the crepes.
The menu offers great variety, encouraging communal dining which enhances the experience—sharing plates brings out the true spirit of a traditional Chinese meal. Whether it's the tender stir-fried noodles or the fiery hot specialties, each dish carries authenticity and sophistication that resonate with both aficionados and newcomers alike.
